Sure—the Speedwoofer pair couldn’t go quite as deep as the big boys, especially when playing some organ samples that dip below 20 hertz. But, truthfully, it’s rare to find bass this deep, and given the difference in cost and size between the Speedwoofer and my reference subs, that’s a pretty reasonable trade-off.

With only 56 days until the digital transition, 6.8% of American households are completely unprepared. The latest Nielsen report indicates that people are getting ready, just the rate is slowing. In May, 10% weren't ready, in November, 7.4% weren't ready, and now, only 6% aren't ready.

It's Official: DTV Transition Botched | Sound & Vision
The on-again, off-again effort to delay the DTV transition from February 17 to June 12 has overcome its biggest obstacle. It originated with the Obama team, then got approved by the Senate, voted down by the House of Representatives, re-approved by the Senate, and today, finally passed by the House in a 264-158 vote. The legislation now goes to President Obama who is expected to sign it.
